Well done to Coach Tommy who this weekend passed another coaching course. This time the England Boxing Level 1 Coaching Qualification. Tommy’s coach education is going from strength to strength due to his enthusiasm to learn.
As in a previous blog, we said how Tommy became part of our team. Tommy started boxing through one of our community progammes in Tonbridge as a teenager. He then did his work experience with us for his school GCSE and then again for his Coaching Diploma at College. Tommy then shadowed Coaches Wayne and Dan learning his craft before taking the GB Boxing Tutor & England Boxing BOX Instructor qualifications. He now is a fully fledged member of the team delivering our programmes in schools and community sessions in Tonbridge. Tommy has recently started training and coaching at Sevenoaks ABC to further his education in our sport which will enhance his abilities further to become an even better coach. With his enthusiasm and dedication he really can become a great coach with a good career.
