Boxing For Dementia (& Alzheimer’s)

About Dementia

"One in 14 people over the age of 65 have dementia, and the condition affects 1 in 6 people over 80. The number of people with dementia is increasing because people are living longer. It is estimated that by 2025, the number of people with dementia in the UK will be more than 1 million." - NHS Website

We started our Boxing For Dementia programme with the view of changing individuals lives, to help those living with Dementia. We all know that exercise is good for our minds and bodies, we know it leaves us feeling good and we want to show that everyone can do it; it doesn't matter your weight, height, ability or conditions, we can all do it and benefit from it. Our programme is for those with Dementia and Alzheimer's, you can enjoy these sessions virtually over Zoom and you can do it seated or standing.

We run FREE weekly sessions every Wednesday 1.30pm-2.30pm. We also run Boxing for Parkinson Sessions for FREE every Thursday 4pm-5pm.

These sessions are run in Partnership with The Alzheimer's & Dementia Support Services.

If you know someone, or is someone who would like to participate, please email and ask for the zoom link.
